Our Mission
2819 Church is a Christ-centered, Spirit-led community committed to living out the Great Commission. Inspired by Matthew 28:19, our name reflects our core purpose—to go and make disciples of all nations. Led by Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell and Lady Lena Mitchell, the church exists to see lives transformed through the power of the gospel and to equip believers to walk boldly in their calling. We are not just a place for Sunday worship, but a movement committed to making disciples who impact the world for Jesus.
Who We Are
Our mission is clear: to make the last command of Jesus our first priority. Everything we do points toward reaching people far from God, helping them discover a relationship with Jesus, and empowering them to grow in faith, character, and purpose. From the moment you walk through our doors or join us online, our goal is to make you feel like family. Worship and Teaching
The heartbeat of 2819 Church is a culture rooted in worship, prayer, biblical teaching, and authentic community. We believe in teaching the Word of God with clarity and depth, helping people not just hear Scripture but apply it to real life. Worship is high-energy, Spirit-filled, and free—inviting everyone to encounter God in a personal and powerful way. Prayer is a foundational part of our church life, not just a ritual but a lifestyle that connects us deeply with the heart of God.
Community Through Squads
Community matters. We believe life transformation happens best in relationship with others. That’s why our small groups, known as Squads, meet across the city to provide connection, accountability, and spiritual growth outside of Sunday services. Whether you’re a young adult, married, single, or raising a family, there’s a Squad for you.
Investing in the Next Generation
We also invest heavily in the next generation through our dynamic children’s ministry, Formation Kids, where kids experience Jesus in a safe, fun, and meaningful environment tailored to their age and stage.
Equipping Through the 2819 Institute
Discipleship at 2819 Church goes beyond surface-level faith. Our 2819 Institute is a training ground for believers who want to deepen their spiritual understanding and walk in boldness. Through focused teaching on topics like spiritual intimacy, biblical literacy, ministry, and worldview, the Institute prepares individuals to be leaders in both the church and the culture. We believe that an equipped believer is an empowered believer, and we are passionate about helping you live fully in the calling God has placed on your life.
Faith in Action
We are also a church on mission. From serving our local communities through outreach initiatives to supporting those in need, we put faith into action. Whether it’s feeding families, supporting schools, or partnering with organizations that bring hope to the broken, we believe love must be demonstrated—not just declared.
